Stimulate how?

As mentioned in the previous post, the stimulus package being proposed is the largest in American history. It will be attributed to over $1 trillion in deficit spending. House minority leader, John Boehner of Ohio, has released a list of 20 fast facts associated with the package to show the American people and our elected representatives in Congress that refuse to read the monolithic document, what the package involves. In case you do not want to read the twenty pull-out items that the Senator addresses, they include;

  1. Potentially billions of dollars to a group accused of registering Mickey Mouse, all of the Dallas Cowboys, dead people, and non-existent people in order to get their candidate BHO into office. That would be ACORN.
  2. $21 billion to resod the National Mall in D.C.
  3. 2.7% of the package is dedicated to small business tax relief.
  4. $600 million for new government vehicles.
  5. Funding for contraceptives.
  6. $650 million for digital TV coupons.

I hope this is not just me, but I really don't see how spending our money in these areas will save our economy. It is just one more example of how special interests, lobbyists, and other corrupt groups have taken the control of Government out of our hands.
